JANET KALULU NGOMBALU joins EAGC as the Marketing Information and Communications Manager (MIS). Janet is a professional in Agricultural Information and communications Management and entrepreneurship development. Janet, an all round professional, holds a Masters Degree in Sociology from the University of Nairobi (Entrepreneurship Development), a Bachelors of Art Degree in Community development from Daystar University and a post graduate degree in Business Administration from Kenya Institute of Management. Janet brings with her a wealth of experience having competently worked for over 10 years as the Partnerships and Information Manager at the Kenya National Federation of Agricultural Producers (KENFAP) and at various levels with Practical Action - Eastern Africa. She also worked in other programmes including renewable energy, farmer empowerment, rural and urban development, Water, waste and environmental sanitation, and climate change. Her key competencies include management of information systems, documentation and disseminating of best practices, lobby and advocacy, marketing and media outreach and programme management among others.
PENINA WANJA GICHURU joins EAGC as the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. She hold a BSc. Degree in Agriculture from the University of Nairobi and is currently pursuing an MBA Entrepreneurship degree at Kenya Methodist University. Penina has extensive experience in agribusiness oriented agricultural development activities spanning over 15 years, six of which have been in the area of Monitoring and Evaluation of projects. She has extensively worked with donor funded projects including two bilateral projects funded by DANIDA and World Bank. She has also worked in other projects including DFID funded Integrated Agriculture Project and Meru Dryland Farming Project, several Lutheran World Relief (LWR) funded projects and recently the USAID funded Kenya Horticultural Development Program (KHDP). Penina has served in various capacities including Project Officer, Community Development Officer and Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist and recently Monitoring and Evaluation Manager with Kenya Horticultural Development Program. Her key competencies are in Baseline surveys, impact assessments, participatory approaches, community mobilization and planning, formation of marketing associations and market linkages and projects monitoring and evaluation among others.
