Financial Management & Audit

The official currency of EAGC is USD, or any other acceptable currency approved by the Board. The fiscal and program year is January 1 to December 31.

A full financial audit of the operations of the Association shall be conducted on an annual basis by an independent accounting firm appointed by the Board. The audit report is presented at the Annual General Meeting and approved by the members.

EAGC operates on the principles of professional integrity and volunteerism. Governance and program costs are minimized through voluntary participation of members on committees, events and Boards. EAGC's operational costs are controlled through efficient management systems, minimal but efficient staffing policy, and cost-sharing with member organizations where possible.

EAGC Board and management prioritizes fund raising as a key responsibility and is focused on maximizing an active membership, soliciting donor grant contributions and corporate sponsorships, and implementing income generating activities. EAGC generates internal revenues from annual subscriptions, advertising, website business, annual conference and other events.

The Board of Directors may propose for approval by a quorum of the eligible-voting members, a special assignment in excess of the annual dues, if needed to fund special purpose or projects.
